The Bay Area Crisis Nursery is not only changing diapers we’re also changing lives. We are distributing almost 90,000 diapers per year to families in need through our Diaper Bank. We began giving diapers to our clients over 30 years ago. During the pandemic, we opened our Diaper Bank program to the entire community to help alleviate the affects of poverty on families with babies and young children. Diapers are expensive. The cost of diapers averages between $150-$275 per month and a healthy baby requires 50 diaper changes a week. That’s a lot of diapers and a huge expense on families.

A diaper may seem like a small thing, but it’s not. Giving families the diapers they need means that they don’t have to stretch the time between changing, reduce rash related illnesses, support families in going to work because they have diapers to bring to childcare programs, and assists in lifting families out of poverty.

If you are a parent in need of diapers, please call the Nursery to order a diaper pickup.
