Holiday Toy and Food Drive

During the holidays, BACN is usually bustling and brimming with merry donors and volunteer elves who wrap gifts and pack holiday food bags for Nursery families. The pandemic prevented us from welcoming donors and volunteers through our doors this year, but your kindness and holiday spirit was felt with each and every generous donation and uplifting note

“We decided that it was important to move forward with BACN’s traditions as best as we could,” says Lead Facility Manager, Gina McGlasson. “We still had many groups reach out to us asking to conduct their own toy and food drives. BACN is lucky to have so much support from the community which allows us to help our families.”

We’re thankful for, and humbled by, our caring community of donors who participated in BACN’s Adopt-A-Family program, and who donated to our food and toy drive. With so many canceled events this holiday season, you showed us that love, community, and generosity can’t be canceled.

Many of our Nursery families have lost jobs and childcare this year, and the Nursery is their only support system. Your kind donations provided 50 families with Thanksgiving dinner and 80 families with holiday toys, gifts, and food—that’s a total of over 300 individuals served!

“We can’t thank you enough for the Holiday food bags and for the amazing Christmas gifts we received for our kids,” says a grateful Nursery mom. “I honestly didn’t know how we’d make this a special holiday for our kids. The Nursery has been such a blessing for our family during this tough year.”

The holiday season should be the most wonderful time of the year for all families, regardless of their circumstances. Thank you for making holiday wishes come true! And while we must remain socially distant, please know that you are always close to our hearts. If you would still like to support our families this holiday season, consider a gift to the Nursery today.

Thank you to all the individuals, clubs, and companies that participated in our Adopt-A-Family program, toy drive, and food drive!
